How to Book a Dam

  1. You will need your SAFFA membership number (available from Peter Nicholls). Keep this number secret.
  2. If this is your first time and you have not set up your account ... click on the “Sign up now” link. Type in your membership number, and a personal password of your choice, then confirm that password. (Please avoid the words, fly, trout, fish, rainbow, brown, SAFFA.)
  3. Click the green “Book a Dam” button.
  4. To find a dam, hit “select an option” and all the dam locations will come up. Please note the Dam ID number for where you want to fish (on the far left), and the number of anglers (on the far right). To check if someone has already taken a property, the calendar underneath the booking form shows which dams are booked, and for which days.
  5. Fill in your phone number, number of anglers, car registration, and the date you want to fish the dam. (Be aware property owners may ask you for club or personal ID at any time).
  6. You are limited to 5 bookings in a 14-day period. If there are 2 or 3 of you, please don't double book a dam consecutive weekends a fortnight out by using your name the first, and then using your regular fishing partner's name the next weekend. We will be monitoring for “fair play”. (If, however, on a Friday night at 5pm that dam remains free, by all means book it.)
  7. To cancel a dam, type in the in the Booking ID number and then hit “cancel booking”.
